(Gawkwire.com) – Ipswitch, Inc.’s Network Management Division, the developer of the WhatsUp Gold suite of innovative IT management solutions, today announced it has hired Al James as Director of Sales Operations, a newly created position designed to optimize sales processes and productivity. James, a veteran of the high-tech industry who holds a degree from Northeastern and is also a graduate of Stanford University’s Advanced Management College, brings more than 13 years of experience in sales operations and quota attainment to Ipswitch, Inc. Prior to joining the Network Management Division he spent time in sales operations at Monster Worldwide, where he managed the commission process and sales operations for 600 sales representatives.
"We are experiencing double-digit growth with a vast array of new products, people and processes entering our ecosystem. I believe that this kind of growth can be best sustained with efficient process management, especially on the sales side of the house. Within minutes of our opportunistic meeting, I knew I had found my champion in Al. Al’s experience, metric-orientation and refusal to accept the status quo will help us drive the next growth phase," said Ennio Carboni, president, Ipswitch, Inc.’s Network Management Division. "Al is an expert problem solver with a comprehensive background who will advance our sales and operational efficiencies and position the company to expand market share in the years to come," Carboni said.
With his extensive experience assessing and managing organizational efficiency, identifying and optimizing growth potential and implementing operational change, James will work with departments across the board at the Network Management Division to attain maximum sales of the WhatsUp Gold IT Management Platform and WhatsUp Event Log Management product lines and to exceed profitability and financial targets.
"I’ve worked with many companies to successfully streamline operations so that each department can maximize its potential and work together to move the organization to the next milestone," said Al James, director of sales operations, Ipswitch, Inc. Network Management Division. "Ipswitch, Inc.’s Network Management Division has a world-class product that has grown incredibly quickly and is now at a point where bringing together disparate systems and information will help the sales team continue to meet the needs of its customers, as well as to uncover new opportunities," James said.
Prior to his position at Monster Worldwide, James held positions with Blue Dolphin Group, Genuity, Inc. and Wang Labs.
