LeaseWeb Hosting Product Development Manager Appointed
Amsterdam, The Netherlands - (The Hosting News) The LeaseWeb website hosting provider in Europe based in Amsterdam, has appointed Thorsten Einig as its new Hosting Product Development Manager, previously having worked for hosting provider 1 and 1 Internet.
Mr. Einig will focus on streamlining and expanding LeaseWeb's product portfolio, including enlarging its range of virtualization products. He started at LeaseWeb a year ago, initially working on Project Management and Provisioning - the automated delivery of hosting solutions to customers. In his new position he will return to his former field of work with hosting provider 1 and 1 Internet, where he spent eight years on developing and streamlining hosting products. Thorsten Einig is a German national and was stationed in cities like Frankfurt and New York for 1 and 1 Internet.
Mr. Einig will begin his new position as per 1 August 2009, stating, ''Initially I will focus on building relationships with manufacturers and customers to determine what features we could add to our products. HostingCon 2009 represents an excellent opportunity to start doing just that. If anyone wants to talk to me in Washington DC from 10 to 12 August, they can e-mail me at t.einig@leaseweb.com.''
LeaseWeb's appointment of a Hosting Product Development Manager further reinforces its wholesale operations. Mr. Einig added, ''In my work, I will devote special attention to resellers and their needs regarding our product portfolio. Resellers are an important target group for LeaseWeb's hosting products, using its basic hosting building blocks as a foundation for delivering their own managed hosting services. LeaseWeb's customer base includes a lot of system integrators, web developers and application developers.''
The new Product Development Manager also plans to concentrate on developing and expanding the existing virtualization portfolio. Mr. Einig noted, ''We currently market VMware based virtual private servers (VPS) that run on the VMware platform developed by LeaseWeb. Clearly such a VPS offer has a fairly high end target group, VMware being the Rolls Royce virtualization brand in the hosting industry. Expanding our portfolio might lower the threshold of our offering.''
Thorsten Einig also plans to take a close look at LeaseWeb's web shop because this particular sales channel represents an extension of - and therefore needs to be fully aligned with - its products. Mr. Einig continued, ''Processes in the web shop must be in line with the products. This is why I will try to refine both the composition of the LeaseWeb products and the sales processes on the site, making it even easier for customers to find the desired hosting solution in LeaseWeb's web shop.''
>Mr. Einig decided to accept LeaseWeb's job offer because of its international work environment and enterprising mentality, explaining, ''The lines are short at LeaseWeb and the company offers huge personal development opportunities. It is an enterprising organization. LeaseWeb gives you ample flexibility to work on the things you like to do. If you are good at something and see certain opportunities for yourself and the company, they encourage you to focus on these things. I can bring in my experience and implement changes.''
LeaseWeb already boasts a great many nationalities in its employee base. Thorsten Einig is German but the company also employs Turkish, Italian, Polish, South-African, Irish, English, American, Indonesian and Uruguayan nationals. As a result, LeaseWeb recently introduced English as its official corporate language.
