Namecheap Acquires Hosting Company PeopleHost
Los Angeles, CA (Gawkwire.com) Namecheap, a leading provider of domain registration and web hosting services, recently acquired PeopleHost, a budget web hosting company started nearly a decade ago.
"We have acquired PeopleHost as part of our long-term hosting growth strategy," says Richard Kirkendall, Namecheap's CEO. "We identified them as a company that we can transform with our world class customer service and technical support. This experience will be entirely positive for all PeopleHost customers."
Namecheap began it's hosting operation just over a year ago and has already a customer base of 11,000 hosting customers. The hosting operation was launched under the guidance of Matthew Russell, a hosting industry veteran of almost 10 years. With fast 24x7 customer service, high performance servers and a sustainable pricing strategy, Namecheap has quickly become the preferred provider for both domain and hosting services for many people worldwide.
Russell will be overseeing and managing the PeopleHost acquisition. He intends to work closely with the PeopleHost customer base whilst introducing a range of improvements. In a statement, he says "It is our intention to bring PeopleHost our exceptional service qualities within a 6 to 12 week period. We had expanded our customer service, sales and technical support teams and PeopleHost customers are already experiencing our 30 minute response times as well as more reliable and faster website load times. The whole Namecheap experience is orientated around customer satisfaction".
