(Gawkwire.com) Gossimer, the fastest growing domain name registration and web hosting company, has reduced the price of its dot com (.com) domain names by almost half for the dot com promotion that begins from March 08, 2010. The price of dot com domain names during the promotion period will be $5.99. All the existing as well as new Gossimer’s web hosting resellers can participate in this promotion which will run all through the march, and will end on March 31, 2010.
Resellers or their customers can register as many domains as they want in the promotion period, as the company has not set any maximum registration cap. The promotion will only be available through Gossimer promotion engine. To avail the special price, resellers will have to comply by the domain pricing rule set for the promotion, which states that the resellers can set the selling price of domain names to a maximum of $7.49 for their customers as well as resellers.
“Seeing the pending price rise due of domain registry in July 2010, this promotion provides an opportunity for people to save some bucks on domain registration,” Said Marvin Dreyer, CEO of Gossimer when questioned about how the promotion will affect his customers’ business. He further added, “This thing [drop in dot com registration prices does not happen frequently, as dot com is the most precious asset on the Internet. We all know that, don’t we?”
Gossimer is also running promotions on domain name registrations for end users. The company is offering domain names with .NZ and .IN extensions at a discounted rate. They are offering end customer .COM domain registrations for $6.99 and other extensions on which Gossimer is running sale are: .TV, .MOBI, .INFO, .ME, .ASIA, GB.COM, .EU.COM, KR.COM, QC.COM, AE.ORG, and US.COM. At present, the company is also offering a special price for transfer-in domain names for its customers, which is $7.99.
