(Gawkwire) – ColoGuard, metropolitan New York’s most customer-focused colocation provider, announced today that it will be among the network and data center operators attending the Telecom Exchange East 2013 meeting in New York City.
In honor of the event, ColoGuard is waiving all set up fees for its colocation services for the entire month of July for new colocation customers.
Telecom Exchange East 2013, which will be held June 26 at Cipriani Wall Street in downtown Manhattan, is an annual gathering that offers colocation providers, data center operators and networking companies to meet with decision makers at national telecommunications companies. ColoGuard, which has attended the event for several years, will be among the 80 exhibitors showing off their solutions.
“We’re excited to again be at Telecom Exchange East, which provides a great opportunity not only to share ideas but also forge relationships and new partnerships,” said Raymond Sidler, chief executive and co-founder of ColoGuard. “We have met many of our key partners at past events.”
ColoGuard will be exhibiting on the show’s floor and representatives will be on hand to discuss partnership and other opportunities at the ColoGuard’s 15,000-square-foot data center, which is less than 5 miles from Manhattan. As part of ColoGuard’s sponsorship of the event, the company’s logo will be imprinted on napkins.
“We invite everyone to stop by our exhibit and leave with an understanding of ColoGuard as the region’s affordable, most customer-focused colocation provider,” Sidler said.
ColoGuard’s Brooklyn-based data center is well known for its connectivity, reliability, security and customer service. With direct access available to nearly a dozen bandwidth providers, it offers customers the ability to connect almost anywhere in fewer than 10 hops. It has established a reputation as being the colocation solution for financial services, Internet telephony and health care industries, among others.
Because the data center is privately owned by ColoGuard, it offers flexibilities and amenities not found elsewhere, including the option to mount antennas and other equipment on the roof of its 12-story building.
In May, ColoGuard and its sister company, GalaxyVisions, announced that their shared data center was certified by an independent auditor to be compliant with the strict federal standards set by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA). The HIPAA certification means that the data center has undergone rigorous testing and found to be qualified to handle medical records and other sensitive patient information.
The auditing firm, IS Partners, is continuing to perform audits on GalaxyVisions and ColoGuard to ensure compliance with SSAE 16, SOC 1 and SOC 2 standards set by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). That review, which started in February, is expected to last for several more months.
ColoGuard is a privately held managed colocation facility based in the heart of Brooklyn, NY, just minutes from New York City. With a state-of-the-art in-house datacenter, ColoGuard’s goal is to provide affordable enterprise colocation solutions for companies of all sizes. ColoGuard’s facility offers a diverse network routes via dark fiber, 24/7/365 live technical support and prices and services that are unmatched by competitors.
