(Gawkwire.com) – Interxion announced it will be the platinum sponsor of this year’s Datacenter Transformation Summit. The event will be taking place on Wednesday 2 June 2010, and hosted by Tier1 Research at the Hyatt Regency in Virginia.  The event invites business leaders to come together with leading data centre architects and operators, senior IT executives, industry visionaries and financial professionals to network and discuss the future of the industry.
The Summit will provide unique insight into the data centre decision-making process and offer delegates the opportunity to come together to learn, network and map out strategies in conjunction with Tier1 Research’s Datacenter Strategies team.  As well as sponsoring the event, Interxion’s Marketing and Communications Director, Ali Moinuddin will participate in the panel discussion regarding the highly topical ‘Build versus Lease’ issue. The panel discussion will look at the issue of building Vs buy and will touch upon such issues as CAPEX Vs OPEX, recruitment, power availability, connectivity, latency and security.
Kevin Dean, Chief Marketing Officer Interxion commented:  “The Summit is an important initiative as it raises the issues that matter for businesses today while also encouraging innovation. In these challenging economic times, it’s imperative for companies from all sectors to learn about the opportunities and issues to consider when making decisions around IT infrastructure management.”
