Stretching Your Online Search Marketing DollarsAffordable online marketing strategies for small to medium-sized businesses (SMBs) are the focus of this Search Engine Strategies session. To be successful, businesses need to gain valuable traffic and increase online visibility for their product, service or cause. The panel of industry experts will share online marketing techniques using search engine optimization, local search, social media and pay-per-click. Fealy will present a case study of an awareness campaign on a missing person cold case, Vernon Kent Jones, who went missing from New York City 17 years ago. The client, NY Private Investigator, Robert Rahn of Management Resources Ltd. of New York, wanted to increase the web visibility of the case with the hope of gaining new leads and continuing media interest. The budget was minimal. Digital asset management and universal search were key strategies to increasing visibility of the case. Web strategy and optimization tips regarding web sites, video directories, Flickr and social media sites will be shared.

Businesses are finding a competitive advantage when they can increase their visibility on the Internet and their conversion rates, be it sales, phone calls or other actions. "I’m excited to be speaking again at Search Engine Strategies. Small and medium-size businesses have the same search needs as big companies, but their budgets are often much more limited," says Fealy. "By reusing their digital assets, such as photos and videos, businesses can make the most of their budget." Fealy, who’s clientele includes many small and medium-sized businesses, finds that many of them are so busy running their businesses that they don’t understand all of the options available to them. The trick for businesses is to understand which strategies will work the best to help them achieve their objectives with the people, time and money resources they have available.
