Linux Plumbers Conference 2009 Announces Speakers and Conference Program

Portland, OR (Gawkwire.com) The Linux Plumbers Conference today announces the speakers and conference program for the 2nd annual conference to be held September 23-25 in Portland, Oregon immediately following LinuxCon Portland 2009. Both events will be held at the Marriott Downtown Waterfront in Portland, home to one of the largest Linux communities worldwide.

The Linux Plumbers Conference was created to bring together developers involved in connecting the Linux ecosystem and give them an opportunity to discuss problems face-to-face. The conference is arranged as a series of microconferences, each on a topic that is narrow enough to identify specific problem areas and brainstorm workable solutions. Each microconference is led by an expert in the field and organized to encourage discussion and problem solving.

Keynote by Keith Packard, the X Window guru from Intel.
