(Gawkwire) – Service-oriented architecture (SOA) governance allows businesses to effectively manage the consistency, predictability, change and interdependencies of services. However, the effectiveness of governance is limited if it only addresses the runtime management and monitoring of deployed services. Instead, enterprises need to implement end-to-end governance that also covers the development of high quality services, which meet stakeholders’ expectations.
To provide IT professionals with best practices for governance during the development lifecycle, WSO2 is presenting a free webinar entitled, “Empowering Development Governance with WSO2 Products.” The one-hour technical webinar is being held twice on Thursday, January 5: 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. PST for the Americas and 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. GMT for Europe and Asia-Pacific. For more information, visit wso2.org/library/webinars/2012/01/empowering-development-governance-wso2-products.
The webinar will explore how IT architects and developers can deploy a framework for governance development using the WSO2 Governance Registry. The session also will examine how the WSO2 Governance Registry, WSO2 Carbon Studio developer toolkit, and WSO2 Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) interact together with the enterprise development environment and people involved in the development process to deliver an end-to-end development governance solution. Webinar session topics will include:
· A review of best practices to enforce organizational policies and re-use.
· How to model a development lifecycle with the WSO2 Governance Registry.
· How to develop enterprise assets with WSO2 Carbon Studio.
· How to interface building processes and automated tests using WSO2 ESB.
· An overview of tasks, issue tracking and resource allocation to manage development.
The webinar will be presented by Senaka Fernando, WSO2 associate technical lead and product manager of the WSO2 Governance Registry. Senaka is an elected member of the Apache Software Foundation (ASF), serving as a Project Management Committee (PMC) member and committer for multiple projects.
