Pinpoint Labs Releases SafeCopy 2 Server Edition

Murray, NE (Gawkwire.com) Pinpoint Labs, a litigation support and forensics software development company, today announced the availability of the newest addition to its SafeCopy family-- SafeCopy 2 Server Edition - SC2SE. SC2SE is the latest in a series of products that offer defensible, production level ESI collection and file copying. SC2SE has all the power of SafeCopy 2 with the added flexibility and security of running from a system or shared folder, server or Network Attached Storage (NAS) device. Now, users can perform data collections from virtually anywhere.

On occasion, litigation support professionals need to collect files from remote computers. Pinpoint Labs understands these concerns and designed SC2SE to work without the need for local installation. Now, users can collect files from virtually any location.

The goal of electronic discovery collection is to preserve and collect files while keeping the chain of custody intact. In keeping with best practices for preserving and collecting data, Pinpoint Labs developed SC2SE to gather files with minimal impact on client systems.

President of Pinpoint Labs and Certified Computer Examiner (CCE) Jon Rowe said, "Accessing SafeCopy 2 from a server or shared resource simplifies collections and creates a more defensible process.

"Both litigation support service bureaus and legal departments often need to copy electronic discovery files and imaging projects between network locations in a reliable and safe manner. SafeCopy 2 Server Edition allows users retain the proper chain of custody in a fast, efficient and secure way. "
