Platformic Completes 100+ Enterprise Sites
San Diego, CA (Gawkwire.com) Platformic, an end-to-end online web development environment and content management platform that allows businesses to quickly and easily build/update websites in real-time without sacrificing creativity or having to write code, today announced that its technology has been used to develop 100+ enterprise class websites. The technology, used by leading broadcast companies such as Comcast SportsNet, Bicoastal Media, Broadcast Company of the Americas and Peak Broadcasting, enables users to easily build and manage media-rich sites that incorporate social media tools and user-generated content. With Platformic, users of varying levels of expertise can maintain a high level of design aesthetic without sacrificing professional development standards or writing a single line of code.
“At Peak Broadcasting, we consider ourselves to be in the ‘content and branding’ business. For us it was not just a matter of building a series of websites for our 11 stations in Fresno and Boise, but an extremely important extension of our brand, and we wanted to make sure our online presence was consistent with our terrestrial presence,” said Todd Lawley, chief executive officer, Peak Broadcasting, LLC. “What really stood out about Platformic, from all of the other tools we looked at, was the level of flexibility to build professional, clean looking sites that are easy to navigate, and back end tools that can be easily used by a number of people from program directors, to promotions assistants, to web designers. We have about 10 people on staff that are able to easily update content and keep info fresh and relative to what we are doing. Feedback from listeners has been extremely positive.”
The game-changing aspects of Platformic are that users can create layouts “visually” and manage content from a browser in a fraction of the time while maintaining look, feel and design integrity. No longer do web masters have to enter Photoshop files into Dreamweaver, FTP content to a site and enter code or rebuild the same elements over and over on every page. Platformic takes flattened Photoshop files directly; Dreamweaver or other web development software is not required. Programmatic elements of the web site are made by pointing and clicking to add any of the dozens of ‘tools’ included with the enterprise edition. . The result is a completely customized website with a content management system that facilitates the ability to change the layout and content quickly and easily. Users can update sites or change their entire look in minutes with no downtime.
“Increasingly broadcast companies and other corporations are beginning to see the power of directly engaging customers and audiences online. Interacting more online requires the ability to act and respond quickly while also extending the same level of design and professional standards, in a time when businesses are trying to do more with less. With Platformic, no longer is technical expertise required to create a highly-customized, professional online presence. Instead, pages and sites can be created visually without templates and with a high degree of flexibility and no coding is required. And because it is provided through the web, businesses get the benefits of Software as a Service” said Claudio Canive, CEO of Platformic.
