(Gawkwire.com) – Following SEO.com’s rapid growth in 2009, two of its executives – CEO Dave Bascom and Vice President of Marketing Chris Knudsen – have been named to vSpring Capital’s Top 100 Venture Entrepreneurs.
The award recognizes 100 people who are most likely to lead a successful venture in Utah within the next few years. The individuals were voted in by their peers and others in the community. This is Bascom’s first v100 award and the fourth for Knudsen.
Not long ago, Bascom started SEO.com in his basement. In just the last year and a half, he led the SEO company to record growth and significantly increased the company’s client base, boosted its monthly revenue by more than 300 percent, grew from 12 employees to more than 60, and has established SEO.com as a recognized thought-leader in the search marketing space.
"Bascom is a great leader, and has done an excellent job in growing this company. It’s rewarding for both of us to be named together," Knudsen said.
Knudsen was brought on board full time in December after working with SEO.com as a consultant. Since then, he formally established the company’s business development strategy and created SEO.com’s reseller program. Knudsen also formulized the marketing department’s strategy and provided guidance on the reorganization of the company’s sales department.
"Chris’s innovative approach and expertise has been very valuable in helping SEO.com reach its potential," Bascom said.
To compliment the company’s SEO services, Bascom has brought on experts in pay per click management, social media marketing, conversion optimization and search friendly Web design to give businesses a more rounded strategy to increase website traffic and online sales.
"In this changing landscape, there is one thing businesses need right now," Knudsen said, "and that is to be found online. Millions of people are searching for products every day. As a search marketing firm, we make sure they are found by potential customers – whether that’s through search engines like Google, or social media sites like Facebook and Twitter."
