Cryptek Launches New SSL VPN Appliance for Service Providers

Sterling, VA - Cryptek, Inc., a leading innovator of secure information sharing and information assurance products and solutions, today announced the debut of the ION™ SA500 Service Access Point, the first drop-in SSL VPN remote service delivery appliance. Purpose-built for Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and equipment manufacturers, the ION SA500 offers an easy-to-use, highly affordable alternative to traditional VPN solutions by delivering drop-in remote management of IT and voice equipment via the Internet. The ION SA500 debuts today at INNUA's Global Connect 2008 in Grapevine, Texas.

The ION SA500 appliance leverages SSL VPN and proprietary SnapNAT™ technology to dynamically and securely link service providers to managed systems located at customer sites. Service providers centrally administer these systems using ION PRIISMS, an Internet-accessible management system. The ION SA500 seamlessly integrates managed systems with the service provider's Network Operations Center (NOC) tools, allowing service providers to easily leverage backend systems and proprietary tools when servicing Customer Premise Equipment (CPE). By vastly simplifying connectivity and leveraging automation, the ION SA500 allows service providers to offer revenue-generating remote services on a wide variety of IT and voice systems, while reducing the overall cost of service delivery.

"With the ION SA500 Service Access Point, Cryptek has raised the bar in terms of remote managed services," said Bill Anderson, CEO of Cryptek, "ION SA500 delivers the capabilities of a high-end SSL VPN appliance with unmatched affordability and easy implementation. By leveraging the ION SA500, service providers can aggressively pursue the booming small-to-medium business (SMB) managed services market."

The ION SA500 Service Access Point will be showcased in booth #204 at INNUA's Global Connect 2008, the annual conference sponsored by the International Nortel Users Association. Nearly 3,000 participants are expected to attend the four-day conference, which will be held June 1-4, 2008 at the Gaylord Texan Resort in Grapevine, Texas.
