Attenda Opens its 3rd UK Data Centre for Managed Services

London, UK (Gawkwire.com) Attenda Limited, the Always On Managed Services company, today announced that it has opened its third UK Data Centre, in response to increasing client demand as growth accelerates during the recession.

The third data centre is an essential requirement to support Attenda’s sustained growth. At the half year point, the company is outperforming the market, maintaining an organic CAGR in excess of 20%, with over £62 million in contract backlog, ahead of its planned budgets.

Mark Fowle, Attenda CEO comments, “We are seeing the realisation of the analysts forecasts, with enterprises re-evaluating and adopting outsourcing to improve efficiency, reduce costs and provide the required agility to adapt to business change and plan for longer term recovery.”

In addition to supporting significant client growth, the new data centre, based in Slough, also accommodates Attenda’s large Cloud Computing platform, Attenda RTI, which is transforming the way that clients’ applications are deployed, managed and contracted. The Slough data centre has been specifically designed to be completely independent of Attenda’s other two UK data centres, enabling it to operate as a disaster recovery location for clients with live solutions in the other primary data centres.

Fowle continues, “We have secured a number of new client wins including Eastern & Coastal Kent PCT and UK Department for International Development, in the Public Sector. Importantly, we are also seeing large growth from our existing clients, as they look beyond the drivers of efficiency and cost, for contract flexibility to outsource more of their critical applications and infrastructures to Attenda.”

Based upon an innovative new design, the new data centre contains a large virtualisation platform that increases the availability, improves efficiency, increases agility and reduces the cost of operating client infrastructures. With over 60% of client infrastructures within its data centres now virtualised, the new data centre is an important investment for the future. Attenda’s long term commitment to ITIL based processes, backed by ISO 20000 certification in IT Service Management, will facilitate the delivery of Cloud Services that optimise cost, quality and value for both existing and new clients.
