(Gawkwire) – Applied Global Technologies (AGT), a leading provider of managed and cloud video conferencing solutions, today announces the company has re-established its Kennesaw, Ga. office as headquarters. Founded in 1993 by two Georgia Tech Research Institute engineers, AGT was originally headquartered in metro-Atlanta before opening a second office in Rockledge, Fla. and subsequently naming it headquarters in 1996. Today’s announcement follows several notable milestones for AGT in 2013, including a new CEO appointment, a refined brand and partner strategy, significant technology advances and the company’s 20th year in business.
AGT was founded by Ben Atha and Mike Valletutti while working together as research engineers at Georgia Tech Research Institute and was established as a Georgia Tech Advanced Technology Development Center (ATDC) company. During the company’s first five years, AGT specialized in the design and integration of complex video networks. Over the next decade, the company developed several successful products for Network Aware Scheduling and IP video testing, while also serving as one of Polycom’s top video equipment resellers. AGT continued its success by pioneering managed services for video conferencing and developing cloud-based video solutions that connect mobile devices, desktops and web browsers with high definition conference rooms.
Co-founder Ben Atha, a Georgia resident who served as AGT’s CTO for 19 years and is now CEO, states, “Although we have always had a large presence in metro-Atlanta, we are excited to officially return AGT’s headquarters to its Georgia roots here in Kennesaw. We approached 2013 as a year of strategic refinement and technology growth, and Kennesaw is a great central location for our company, partners and customers. We also look forward to expanding our engagement with the Atlanta community, which is experiencing phenomenal technology activity and growth."
AGT’s new headquarters resides in its Chastain Center office and data center in Kennesaw. AGT will continue to operate an office in Rockledge and has employees that work at customer sites as part of the company’s managed services division, such as Ericsson, State of Georgia, Motorola and BNP Paribas.

With no up-front capital investment and quick ROI, AGT partners generate high recurring margins and please end users demanding video conferencing that is simple, affordable and scalable.
