Carpathia Hosting Names Brian Winter Vice President & Chief Marketing Officer

Ashburn, VA (Gawkwire.com) Carpathia Hosting, the leading provider of enterprise managed hosting services for government agencies and businesses, announced today the addition of Brian Winter to the Carpathia management team as Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer.

In his new role, Winter will be responsible for the company's overall marketing strategy with a focus on growing awareness of the company, expanding it's presence in the federal sector and maximizing the recent acquisition of ServerVault. Winter will report directly to Carpathia Hosting CEO, Peter Weber.

An experienced sales and marketing executive, Winter has led global sales and marketing teams inside Fortune 500 companies as well as built successful sales and marketing teams for high-growth technology firms such as SevenSpace and USWeb.

Prior to joining Carpathia Hosting, Winter served as Vice President, Global Virtualization Software Sales at Sun Microsystems and as Vice President of Marketing for the Services business unit. Winter's responsibilities included the overall strategic direction and day-to-day management of the global services marketing organization including product marketing, go-to-market programs, field marketing and marketing communications for the $5 billion Services division.
