Leader in Translation Management Automation Takes On New Investment and Adds Esteemed Board Member
(Gawkwire) - Cloudwords, Inc., the world’s leading global translation management company, today announced the addition of Mr. Tae Hea Nahm, Managing Director of Storm Ventures, to its Board of Directors. In addition, the company announced today that it has completed a second round of investment funding led by Storm Ventures. Cloudwords will use the funds to further accelerate its rapid growth, continue its focus on innovation and product development. Mr. Tae Hea Nahm will join the Cloudwords Board of Directors and play a strategic role in the company’s development alongside current investors including Marc Benioff and Dave Moellenhoff.
"Expanding our board to include such esteemed executives in the mobile and SaaS sectors will further diversify the talents of our board and its capabilities. With over 20 years of investment management experience, Tae Hea brings a unique individual and complementary perspective to our board of directors," said Michael Meinhardt, CEO and Co-Founder of Cloudwords. "With a deep understanding of the global nature of our business, his leadership experience and his rich industry knowledge, Tae Hea will undoubtedly contribute to the continued growth and success of Cloudwords.”
"It is an honor to join the Board of such a committed, innovation-based company with significant potential to expand its reach," said Tae Hea Nahm, Managing Director of Storm Ventures, who is on the boards of Com2us, Marketo and MobileIron, and was the first investor in Airespace (Cisco) and EchoSign (Adobe). “I am very impressed by the company’s progress since I first met the founders about a year ago. Cloudwords has grown considerably by adding marquis-named customers. I very much look forward to all that is ahead and am excited to be a part of it.”
In the last year the company also unveiled multiple industry leading applications, including OneTM, the industry’s first cloud-based translation memory application which allows enterprise companies truly centralize their translation assets in a secure and scalable environment. The Company also introduced an Open API that allows enterprises to further automate their entire translation process supply chain. By introducing deep integrations with Salesforce.com Service Cloud, the Drupal CMS, as well as OpenCMS, Cloudwords continued its integration strategy to service best-of-breed applications that store, manage and share global content.
Simply put, Cloudwords is the leader among a new generation of translation management vendors—ones that focus on today’s ever-increasing business demands to automate and scale their global translation process. With its unique ability to deliver on this promise, Cloudwords has been able to not only meet, but exceed marketplace expectations. By lowering the adoption barrier for customers and giving users the capability to easily treat their translation memory like any other ordinary data set, Cloudwords is garnering impressive momentum.
“This is a very exciting time for us. We founded Cloudwords to improve the way enterprises communicated globally with their customers, partners and employees,” Mr. Meinhardt continued. “The addition of Tae Hea to our Board and the addition of this investment furthers Cloudwords’ ability to drive innovation and expand our reach and impact to new audiences.
