Drift2 Web Hosting Firm, Acquires Shared Web Host, Utaria.Net

Pittsburgh, PA (The Hosting News) Greg Pruitt, CEO of Drift2 Web Services, Inc. remarked, ''Utaria.net has offered valuable and quality hosting services successfully for the last six years. With our acquisition, we intend to introduce a level of service for Utaria.net customers that offers more personalized customer support and access to a more robust collection of features.''

The Utaria.net brand will be discontinued once the migration is complete and all customers are informed of the change. The acquisition is hoped to enable Drift2 to serve a broader variety of shared hosting clients and grow at a faster pace. Both Utaria.net and Drift2 currently utilize the H-Sphere control panel to provision and manage shared hosting accounts, making the integration of the two companies virtually seamless. Drift2 plans to integrate all existing Utaria.net customers into its primary server cluster and ultimately manage all customers under the Drift2 brand.

Serving customers for more than six years, Utaria.net originally started in Duluth, Minnesota before being acquired by a Baltimore-based owner. It currently operates hosting servers in multiple datacenters and serves customers from eight countries.

Shared web hosting plans from Drift2 start at just $4.95 per month for personal hosting and range to $49.95 per month for corporate hosting packages.

Since April 2003, Drift2 has provided award-winning shared and reseller hosting services to businesses and individuals in the United States and abroad. It currently supports the Linux platform and operates an H-Sphere powered cluster.
