Hyperspin Adds Performance Reports to Service Monitoring Platform

SINGAPORE (Press Advance) Hyperspin Internet Services, a provider of website and web service monitoring, today added real-time reports to its service monitoring platform, enabling its users to perform more thorough analysis of service performance and visually detect weak performance.

The new feature offers an Uptime Report, which visually compares uptime for all monitored websites and servers, and a Performance Report, which provides detailed visual analysis of a variety of response periods.

Although many service monitoring companies provide a generic response time or uptime reporting feature, Hyperspin provides significantly more data. Namely, Hyperspin offers indefinite historical data, and also provides detailed performance statistics on DNS, Connect, Request, Processing and Download times.

Administrators can use this information to identify bottlenecks and optimize the integral components of their network to achieve the desired performance improvement. For example, if the report indicates lengthy DNS response times, an administrator can potentially solve the problem by adding DNS servers in geographically dispersed locations or choosing a DNS provider with lower latency. Likewise, if a report indicates lengthy connect or request times, administrators may opt to switch to another network that offers lower latency for the target website audience, or use a CDN.

The Hyperspin platform can monitor websites and servers, and virtually any service, including HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, SSH, SMTP, DNS, POP3, IMAP, MySQL, and any arbitrary services running on TCP/IP. If the system detects downtime, Hyperspin sends a notification through email or cell phone text message. Hyperspin can even automatically submit a reboot request to a datacenter if it detects an unresponsive server.
