“The hosting industry is constantly evolving, and since control panel software is the face of web hosting, we must evolve with it,” said Paul Oehler, CTO of InterWorx. “From server clustering and load-balancing to support for NAT environments, InterWorx has always been at the forefront of innovative features and usability. Our new website and release are just the latest examples of that.”
In addition to many minor improvements, InterWorx version 4.11.1 includes several significant feature additions, including the latest version of phpMyAdmin, DKIM authenticated email support, a Dutch translation package and domain redirects. The redesigned website also features a number of improvements, in particular a responsive and mobile/tablet friendly design and a completely revamped support page.
“Customer service and support have always been important parts of Interworx’s DNA,” said Oehler. “Our new website reflects that and makes it easier than ever before for people to learn about and use our products.”
The goal of the new website and version release are two-fold: to implement improvements to make InterWorx even better and to lay the foundation for 2013. To this end, InterWorx is actively developing several major features and is conducting a series of user tests and surveys to pinpoint the major needs of users moving forward. All of this will be used for InterWorx 5.0, slated to be released in 2013.
“The needs of users have been evolving significantly over the past few years, and we have always prided ourselves on being responsive to our users’ needs. InterWorx 5.0 will set the standard for what a modern control panel is capable of,” said Oehler. “Next year is going to be big.”
