Macquarie Telecom Strikes Cyber Deal

The deal represents the first major outsourcing agreement as part of the Australian Government’s Internet Gateway Reduction program initiated by the Australian Government Information Management Office (AGIMO). The objective of the program is to enhance operational efficiency, reliability and improved security. The Internet Gateway Reduction Program affects all Australian Government agencies that are governed by the Financial Management and Accountability Act 1997 (FMA Act) and is aimed at reducing the risk of malicious cyber attacks against government agencies. The Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF) is the first Lead Agency to sign a head agreement for managed gateway and data services, selecting Macquarie Telecom as the leading Australian owned and operated secure internet gateway provider. Kissinger will be joining a group of industry-leading professionals to discuss “The Coming Hybrid Wave: Colocation and the Cloud” on Tuesday, June 18th at 9:00am. The conference will follow four educational tracks which include: Sales and Marketing, Technology, Issues and Trends, and Management. Kissinger’s discussion will kickoff Tuesday’s educational content for the Technology Track and will highlight the benefits of merging colocation and the cloud to create hybrid solutions designed to effectively manage a business’s IT operations.
