Pryme Technologies to Open New Data Center in Ashburn, Va.

ASHBURN, VA (Gawkwire.com) The first 10,000 square foot phase of the facility is scheduled for completion by June 15, 2009. With the completion of the first phase Pryme Technologies will be able to offer its full suite of services from this ultra-secure, tier 3 data center. Offerings range from single rack co-location, private secure pods in sizes from 2,000 square feet to 20,000 square feet, and ultra-secure SCIF private pods in sizes from 2,000 square feet to 20,000 square feet. The site built in 2009 offers 72,000 square feet of datacenter space consisting of 20 foot ceilings, 3 foot raised flooring for maximum cooling, 200 watts per square foot cooling capabilities in standard configuration, 300+ watts per square foot cooling with overhead supplemental cooling, dual fiber entry points with fully diverse dark fiber rings reaching to the Equinix Ashburn Campus, N+1 UPS systems, N+1 CRAC systems, N+1 chilled water systems, N+1 generator backup power, N+1 network systems (Cisco based), pre-action dry pipe fire suppression, and a fully secured facility with 24/7 staffed NOC.
